Before completion
Confirm arrangements with your conveyancer, organise removals where needed and review insurance, utilities and council-tax timing.
On completion day
Do not release keys simply because it is the planned date. Follow your conveyancer’s confirmation that completion has taken place.
Take final readings
Record final meter readings and keep photographs. Check cupboards, lofts, garages and outside storage before leaving.
Keep the paperwork
Store your final sale and conveyancing documents safely after the move.
